We have a female on site today – Chloe, Marty’s daughter. She just finished her year at U of Guelph and is killing time before she starts her full-time summer gig. Chloe knows her way around a front end loader, and doesn’t shy away from hard labour!
She and the boys rolled in closer to 9:00 this morning. Marty brought the BOOM around the back so Dave Black (Super Dave 2) and his son Kyle could take down the dilapidated chimney. Meanwhile Chris carried on stripping brick and Curtis carried on cleaning and stacking.

Bin 1, that contained the tree remnants was taken away and Bin 2 has taken its place for construction debris.

The rain subsided, and the temps are warmer so things are looking up.
9:23 > I take that back
There goes the retaining wall….along with the cable. One would think, that Rogers being a communications corp and all, it would be relatively easy to get in touch with them. Not.

Ryan, our rep from Ridley made an appearance today. Our doors and windows will be ready for us May 16. Not sure we’ll be ready for them.
We had a nice surprise visit from one of my local siblings Julie and her husband Ben Cairns and my California sister Suzanne with her husband Bill (the Thrill) McMichael. Great news is they too will soon be KayDubbers again, after nearly 14 years! And an end- of -day popover by Dave and Roslyn Gallinaro. (6 men on site. 50% Daves.)
