Unfortunately for Sam, the big task for today was to move the broken slabs from the back of the basement to the front opening – which is the area under the master bedroom – by hand. The machines couldn’t reach the 2 other openings until they were backfilled.
They couldn’t be backfilled because we were waiting on inspection.
The basement floors are slated to be poured tomorrow so the stone had to go.
- Load up wheelbarrow.
- Haul to front opening.
- Unload wheelbarrow.
Repeat approx. 20 times.
THEN
Load stone into bucket.
Repeat approx. 20 times.
All in all, it took a few hours and was backbreaking.
At the end of the day, Marty and Kyle swooped in with the mini dozer and loaded the pile into a bin in about 15 mins.
