Big BIG day at 588. Another father and son team – Paul and Craig Kroetsch – were on site today to finish the concrete for the basement floors.

Beforehand, Dave Black, Kyle and Sam installed the underlay.

Then the concrete truck arrived and the wheelbarrows were at the ready.

The concrete was pumped into the wheelbarrows through the master opening which Kyle and Sam delivered through the basement to the den and kitchen foundations, then into the master hole and last, directly into the ensuite bay.

Meanwhile, the  Kroetsch men and Marty did the floating.
1. Screed the surface to level it out
2. Flatten the surface with a bull float
3. Hand trowel/float to smooth
4. Machine buff surface to finish

And they managed to get themselves out of a tight corner.
