Friday the 13th

Due to heavy rain showers last night, I woke up to a minor water issue in the basement. Even though Marty wasn’t scheduled to be on site today, he was good enough to swing by and take care of it.

We moved everything up off the floor, he vacuumed up the H2O , then he and Kyle dug a trench to divert the rain that’s expected tomorrow. Great guys to have on your side.

The insulation situation on the other hand? Not-so-easy.

A crew of 3 arrived at 9:30 to remove the cellulose fibre insulation from the attic and bedroom dormer. Nice guys, and no question the job was painful, but two words:

Gong. Show.

9 hours of nasty. I am grateful they cleaned up well before they left.

And it seems as though bad things do happen in 3.

For the past week or so, we’ve been trying to discourage a robin from building her nest on these irresistible perches exposed during demolition. So we’d brush away the wisps of grass whenever they appeared. We thought she had given up, but then THIS HAPPENED! Built in less than 24 hours. NOW what do we do?
