STAGE 1: Move and Prep

Moved furniture and area rugs from reno areas to upstairs study and living room.
Moved thermostat from den to hall.
Boarded up den doorway.
Framed in front hall closet and sealed with plastic.
Sealed off living room.

STAGE 2: Began ripping den apart.

Pull up broadloom & tackless strips.
Pull staples from subfloor.
Remove built-ins & ceiling beams.
Remove paneling and strapping.

While Dave and Sam did all the hard work, I churned through a bunch of brochures with the Snack design team, and enjoyed a visit from Jules, my favourite younger sister. (She’s not a giant, those are DB’s boots.)
