July 4 – 8

It was a 3-shirt-per-day minimum kind of week.

Record-breaking temps with Waterloo Wellington crowned hottest region in Canada. No insulation. No air conditioning. No surrender.

More plumbing and HVAC work was done, and great strides were made with the electrical. Fraser Landsborough (co-owner Eastbridge Electric) and Mike White (no relation to the plumbers) are Master Electricians in every way.

Dave and Sam finished the soffit and freeze board on the west side and back eaves so it’s now ready for the aluminum, and they boxed in and furred out all the the walls for the mechanicals.

They also removed the remaining fireplace brick in the floor of the great room, repaired the area, then formed and poured the pad for the new kitchen fireplace.
