This post simply could not wait until Spring.

While we were away over the Christmas break, master tiler Brian Aubie continued to work on our master ensuite. All was going extremely well until – yup, you guessed it – 95% complete, and he ran out of marble.

 

Fellow Snacker Valerie McEachen, along with twin sidekick Nicole, and Bill McMichael to the rescue!

I dealt with the order. The girls picked it up from Olympia Tile in Toronto and delivered it to the site. Bill met them there to unlock and unload, and Brian came back the next day to finish up. Thumbs up and a huge thank you to all!

This would not seem like a big deal to you, but to me? Monster. It meant that my girl, Bubbles could go back to where she belongs. We arrived home late last night. Bill was kind enough to come by this morning to help lift her into position before heading off to Bayfield for the weekend. This girl has been through a lot since she was first installed 15 months ago. Dave hooked her up for the 3rd – and final – time. All is right in my world.

In other bathroom news:

I assisted Dave with the vanity in the “Lola Suite” and Bill described it perfectly. “That is one sexy sink!”

Bill also helped Dave bring the shower glass up from the basement, so he was able to knock this off his giant To Do list as well.

It’s good to be home.
