Trapp is back! May 15-19

Trapp & Co. were on site Wednesday to pour the big steps. Marty has the greatest equipment. His concrete hopper cut the wheelbarrow route down from 100 steps to less than 10.

After a 40 second pour and a quick rinse, Marty drove the concrete to the back, and filled the buckets. (8 times.)

Kyle and Curtis shuttled the mix to the forms, Craig and Don moved it around and Dave cleaned up behind them.

The pool side step was complete in about 1.5 hours. Then on to the back terrace.

On Thursday, Dave stripped the step forms and started building the forms for the pool deck and back terrace with help from Curtis.

Friday he was on his own to finish the job.

Tom and Ashley from Riley Painting made progress on Monday and Thursday, then brought 3 more crew members on Friday. They finished the Great Room and Breezeway, plus knocked off 50% of the Master Bedroom.

After the Trapp crew left on Wednesday, Dave and Curtis finished setting all the coping stones in place. On Thursday, they levelled, adhered and caulked.

If you noticed the shift in water colour from green to blue, that’s thanks to Fraser and Mike from Eastbridge Electric. They worked all day Wednesday to hook up the pool equipment and get the water circulating. A bottle of chlorine and 24 hours later it went from pond to pool.

Fingers crossed the guys show up on Tuesday to repair one corner of the liner so we can fill ‘er up!

P.S. A duck loved the coping stone so much it decided to drop this!
