Finally, the soggy weather broke long enough for the Trapp and Kroetsch teams to pour the concrete. I don’t think anyone else under these insane circumstances could have pulled it off so seamlessly. Between these 2 guys – Marty Trapp and Paul Kroetsch –  plus DB, they have more than a century of combined experience in the world of all things construction.

The process began quietly as Dave and Kyle Black arrived mid-afternoon with wire mesh which DB and Curtis laid and tied.

Around 4:45 the crew assembled out back and got all their equipment ready with just a few minutes to relax and enjoy the weather before the 3 concrete trucks pulled up.

5:06 the first wheelbarrow was poured.

In less than 3 hours, the big deck was complete.

A. MAY. ZING!

Then they did the back terrace, and were outta here by 9:00.
