Well it was bound to happen. Until now, everyone we have hired, and everything we have purchased for the reno has been “local”. Kitchener, Waterloo, Elora, St. Jacob’s, Elmira, Conestogo, Cambridge. With some compunction, we resorted to IKEA for our master closet wardrobes. Style + Speed + Price. PAX delivers on all 3. However, unfortunately IKEA doesn’t actually deliver outside the GTA.

So within a 1.5 hour timeframe, we rented a truck, drove to Vaughan, placed the order, paid an additional $20 for an IKEA employee to “pick” the order for us, and enjoyed a hotdog while we waited. And waited. And waited.

ONE HOUR AND 47 MINUTES LATER the order was finally ready!!! We literally could have done the self-serve thing, driven back to KW and had 2 towers set-up in that time. 53 years old…still livin’…still learnin’.

Once we got home and unloaded, Dave couldn’t resist putting a couple frames together to see how easy or challenging the install would be.

Turns out, not that bad.
