Today was not fun.

Going up and down ladders all day long? Not fun. Working in low, hot attic spaces? Not fun. Dealing with insulation batts. Definitely NOT fun.

But the results were awesome.

Dave cut an opening at the back of the attic to eject the insulation batts and to be able to access the attic without traipsing dust and fibres through the house. Most of it was repurposed in the garage attic which will help keep the temps under control in there moving forward.

After the attic was clear, Dave and Sam pulled up the subfloor and the insulation between the joists.

Then they removed the ceiling tiles from the den, and cut out the strapping.

Super exciting to get a glimpse of how the new family room will feel.

And now for another “What the hell?” moment…
