July 25-29 Highs & Lows

Many contrasting moments this week. Along with the crazy temperature swings and going from bone dry earth to small lakes forming, parts of the site look like a bomb went off while others are really coming together.

ROOF

Patrick finished the metal on Tuesday and the scaffolding and trailer were taken away. The roofers will return to complete the job once the fireplace stonework is complete.

MASONRY

Masons Pat and Brock made great strides. They finished the front and back master areas and almost knocked off the back breezeway.

They were about 15 mins away from getting the master wall done on Thursday when a mini monsoon hit.

I owe a shout-out to Andre Timmermans from Ed’s Concrete Products. Great job on the custom window and door sills. Quality. Speed. Price. No need to pick just 2!

FIREPLACES

Hats off as well to the Boys at Bast. A team of 6 swooped in on Wednesday and hooked up the 2 fireplaces within a few short hours.

DAVE + SAM SHOW

Among other tasks, the A Team finished off the shakes on the gable, repaired the porch ceiling and installed pot lights, built out the porch pillars and framed in the mud room.

DB also ironed out the dimensions and location for the pool.

PoolPotted

Just over 3 months in. Curious to see how August unfolds. Happy Long Weekend!
